14/04/2009 - 1st Floor Posi Joists
As First Floor Brickwork begins, the 1st floor joists are assembled. Damson Homes pride themselves on high qulity new homes throughout the build. We use 'Posi' Joists as pictured below. Please scroll down for more information.
Plot 1.
The advantages of the Posi-Joist system simply cannot be ignored, because Posi-Joist combines the lightness of timber with the strength of the Posi-Strut steel web, you can span far greater distances than would be possible with alternative timber products. This gives you unequalled design freedom across a wide range of applications for both floor and roof in domestic, industrial and commercial applications. The Posi-joist allows a variety of internal room layouts within an external shell due to its clear spanning capabilities.

What is a Flue?? A flue is not always the same as a chimney.A chimney is a brick or metal structure that contains one or more flues. It is what you see running up the sides of houses and / or sticking out of roofs. It is best thought of as a support structure that contains the flues. The flue is actually the pipe or passage that the smoke from an appliance travels through.Typically each fuel burning appliance, such as a furnace, stove, fireplace, etc. will need to have it’s own seperate flue, so many times they will put several flues into the same chimney structure, especially when dealing with masonry chimneys.

02/04/2009 - PEA's Arrive
We now have the Predicted Energy Assessments for the House. These will tell you how ecenomical these houses will be. As you can see from the diagram, we are very close to the top, which means our new homes at Piper's Gardens will be very economical!
Did you Know?? The rear gardens on our new homes at Pipers Green are mature as the development is built on the rear gardens of Kedleston Road.
